Milford Sound
It had been 30 years since I had visited Milford Sound. As a boy I remember countless dinner times looking at the placemats with the painting of Mitre Peak on it, wondering what it would be like to see it in person. Well it blew my mind. It just seems incredibly unlikely that this scene would assemble itself like this, in the perfect orientation so that it's always either dramatically side lit or lustrously back lit. A painter's dream and nightmare all in one. How is a painter supposed to do THIS justice!? Hardly possible, but worth a solid try.
