A Dream of the Rees Valley
The Rees Valley is a remote, dramatic valley in the Southern Alps known for its 4WD access, glacier-fed river, and as the gateway to the 4–5 day Rees-Dart Track. It offers breathtaking alpine views, beech forests, and is a popular spot for hiking and, occasionally, packrafting. One of my all time favorite spots in the world, and a great place to bring painting students.
